I tell my husband that at least my addiction is limited to lusting after houses on-line rather than attempting to place offers on houses that I have no intention of buying, with money that I haven't got...and really, who but the most hardened soul could resist this particular little bit of eye candy below...
..And just as attractive a view from the back - one should always check one's rear view in the mirror before an appointment, don't you think? And this little lady certainly has nothing to worry about from those viewing her from behind...she's absolutely perfectly formed...and unlike myself - hasn't lost an ounce of style with age!
...But aren't we brought up to believe that it's what's on the inside that counts?
...she doesn't disappoint does she... ...and what about the bits and bobs that are often overlooked......once again - perfectly groomed and in tip top condition...
...Yes, the 'Old Gal' has certainly aged with style and elegance...the perfect lady methinks...I've actually spotted this house before in one of my much loved and well thumbed books, 'Perfect English' by Ros Byam Shaw, whose 'Perfect English' series of interiors books I absolutely adore! It has such a charming, much loved and 'lived in' country look doesn't it?
So anyone with a couple million to 'spare' - (start by checking behind the cushions on your sofa) - and who fancies moving up to Norfolk to become a 'relative' neighbour to me - (Okay - this house is on the posher bit of Norfolk and I promise to only pop in for coffee once a day!), this property is on the market with Bedfords estate agents.
Enjoy!
Oh Lordy!!! If only.........
ReplyDeleteStop lusting Sweets, your place is a dream also xx
Must remember to buy a Euromillions ticket for tomorrow's draw!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous. I'm glad I am not the only one who looks at property I have no intention of buying. There are far worse things we could be doing online!
Absolutely fab from every angle! Perfect English country house. I'd give up city living for that :-) So wonderful to know I'm not the only real estate stalker.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Hi Paula,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking part in my giveaway and for linking my giveaway on your blog. I appreciate it very much and will keep my fingers crossed for you :-)!
The Georgian houses above all look so 'Jane Austen'! I wouldn't mind becoming your neighbour and living in such a grand mansion. If only the price wouldn't be that high :-)!
Wish you a happy weekend!

Totally charmming! I am always dreaming about houses as well.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend,
Phyllis
Oh Paula, you really crack me up!!! I so enjoy your wit and the beautiful pictures that you tantalize us with! That is a very beautiful home and I know I would absolutely love haveing coffee with you each and every morning...I just need to lure you to my home! (don't have millions laying around!)
ReplyDeletePaula, that property makes me so, so glad that dreaming is so affordable.
ReplyDeleteLet me quickly add that your very own home is rather wonderful to this viewer from across the pond.
Best wishes.
Hi Paula, you are so cute, I so love all you feature and could move right in on this beauty.

Good morning Paula!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, this home is stunning. The interiors are perfect in every way, so much like in my lovely book that you sent me! IN TIME, I know you will bring your GORGEOUS home up to your level of satisfaction, and let me tell you that the home we have now we have had it for 16 years. We are NOW barely getting it to what we want. But it is a labor of love. I see so many wealthy families here that literally buy million dollar + homes, DEMOLISH THEM, then rebuild in a matter of just weeks.....if everything was that easy, we would get used to throwing away....good thing the older generations didn't think that way or else we would not have these GEMS to admire.
LOVELY POST MY DEAR! Anita
Wow what a stunning house i love the front of it its so pretty, stylish and full of warmth i hope its full of laughter and fun soon when its sold, dee x
ReplyDeleteOooooooh, it's LOVELY!! Even though it's not my taste inside it STILL looks lovely - no mean feat from me, Mrs Picky!!
ReplyDeleteSarahx

ReplyDeleteHi Paula,
ReplyDeleteJust this weekend I was reading Perfect English and was admiring the bedroom with the rose-covered upholstered walls. This house is a beauty. Our ridiculously hot weather does tempt me to wander far away. But alas.. I have no cool millions to spare. So you must keep sharing beautiful finds like these for poor admiring souls like mine. :)
Cheers!
Keri
Hello Paula
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you would be my neighbour would definitely lure me to such greener pastures. You are so right it is just one of those houses, while maybe not my taste, I would leave as is and be happy to live here.
Wishing you a joyful week
Helen xx
The home is so beautiful and I love the interior. I am so glad you stopped by. I couldn't remember your blog name and you are on my side bar. Sometimes it is hard to put the name with the face. LOL.

breathtaking and oh so charming!
ReplyDeleteOh, these houses are so charming, aren't they? The second home is lovely. When we were looking to buy a house years ago, my favorite thing to do was just look around. After buying our third home through the years, we are wondering if we should get out of the city and move to the mountains. It is so fun looking and dreaming, isn't it? Thank you so much for stopping by.

WOW! A lady indeed! Unfortunately there is nothing behind my cushions except fluff! This really is the perfect Georgian house - like yours! So charming and perfect in inside and out. Divine! A Georgian house like yours really is my Dream House if I ever win the lottery! I just adore the symmetry and scale, so perfect. I must get the book you mention, I'm sure I would love it.

Beautiful Paula!
ReplyDeleteThANK YOU DEAREST for coming to visit with me! Are you enjoying a lovely English summer? I suspect you are having a lot of rain, as I hear from other British friends that it is rather gray and wet out their way.
You are so kind to come to visit today! BIG HUGS and again, many thanks for that marvelous book; it has given me many an idea for décor! LOVE, Anita
Hi Paula,
ReplyDeleteWell, I've not been around for a bit, and you present us with another gem!
I hope the estate agent pays you a commission when the house sells!
Have a lovely day,
Lizx
What a wonderful house! My dream home would certainly be something like this - of Georgian proportions, large light-filled elegant rooms, set in spacious grounds. Do me fine, this one.Now where can I find a couple of million?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Paula!
Your home is better than ANY of those...and its filled with love :)
